Sometimes, where the photograph is taken is not as important as what's being said with the photograph.The day after Christmas, after soo much rain, the weather broke, leaving a window of opportunity for me to photograph Nate and Megan's engagement session, on Nate's family ranch in Santa Paula. The land's been in his family for years and provided a unique, well accessorized location to photograph the two of them. Megan was on break from her studies in Utah, so even with a bit of a cold, she held Nate's hand as the two of them took me on a private tour. We couldn't just decide on one location, as it had many faucets and amazing light, so just kept shooting and we came up with THIS.
Nate and Megan, it will be my honor to photograph you once again, next time, for your wedding in Santa Monica and Carpinteria. And until then, when life gives you lemons, take photos with them!
